In the kitchen

with No Comments

We’re in the kitchen for this Street Russian Project post, looking at foods and items you probably have in your own kitchen. (I’m so hungry now!)

Oops- часник is actually Ukrainian (чеснок).

Most of the vocab in this post is pretty easy to figure out- you can usually tell what a food is by looking at the packaging- but here are a few useful words that you might have missed…

Russian / English cheat sheet

плавленый сыр = processed cheese

аджика = a Georgian sauce… think very spicy ketchup!

базилик = basil

одноразовый = disposable

10 шт = 10 items (шт = штук = pieces, items, things, etc)

доска разделочная = cutting board

Did you encounter any new Russian words in this post? 🙂
