The Moscow airport in photos

with No Comments

December 2018.

Flying into a wintry Moscow.
The city is just starting to wake up.
Off the plane and right onto a bus; everyone crams into a German-made transfer bus that drives across the tarmac to the terminal. (By the way, all did you know each Aeroflot plane is named after a famous person? The name is written under the Russian flag near the nose of the plane.)
Terminal B, how I love you.
SVO = Sheremetyevo. Moscow’s other international airports are Domodedovo (DME), Vnukovo (VKO), and Zhukovsky (ZIA).
Sheremetyevo’s baggage claim.
How to get to downtown Moscow from the airport? Easy- take the Aeroexpress train for 500 RUB! I took these photos on the way into the city.
Somewhere between Sheremetyevo and the Belorussky railway station.
Beautiful Moscow morning. 😉
40 minutes later, the Aeroexpress train arrives at Belorussky train station and we head out to explore the city. (Cool spots to explore: this place, this place, and this place.)

Have you been through SVO? Do you think winter is a good time to visit Moscow?
